Music is incredibly therapeutic all on its own. When combined with Counseling, both can augment and improve the process. Ways in which music can be augmentative to the counseling process include:

  • discussions of lyrics that are meaningful
  • creation of lyrics or music that are expressive
  • listening to different styles of music for the purposes of evoking certain feelings
  • using musical instruments improvisationally and expressively, either alone or in groups

My musical training and experience includes:

  • BA Music Performance, Emphasis Voice – 1992
  • Teaching piano and voice privately – 1996 – 2016
